The HP Color LaserJet CP1215 is a simple, single-function laser printer designed for small businesses and homes. It is encased in light grey and white sturdy exterior, and has a simple control panel featuring buttons for paper feed and job cancel, and a range of indicator lights.

This color printer has slower printing speeds; 8 pages per minute color and 12 ppm monochrome and at a fixed resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. With the manual color options, four color or black neutral grays can be chosen to save ink, but there's no way to adjust the resolution of the prints.

The text printed is very sharp and easily legible; even the smallest of fonts. However, the colors printed are darker than on the computer screen. On the default setting, the color was a little too dark.

It boasts an Instant-on technology that allows for faster start-up when resuming from PowerSave mode; it just requires 30 seconds from sleeping to printing.

The software driver is very easy to install also they are on the CD, although Linux drivers are available for download. Theres no OSX drivers available for this machine, on the software CD or on the support site.
